The Global Certification Forum (GCF) is an active partnership between network operators, device manufacturers and the test industry. Aiming to ensure global inter-operability between telecommunication devices and networks, GCF certification requires a series of conformance testing, field trail testing and inter-operability testing. The previous (CDMA certification forum) CCF has also transferred the CDMA2000 devices certification under GCF scheme. Main network operators in Europe and Asia are members of GCF and may request GCF certification for devices seeking their approval.
